About Us
Team Saturday at The Hill School is an enrichment program for area students. During the school year the program meets roughly every other Saturday at The Hill School, and in the summer, on five consecutive Saturdays.
Sessions include art, cooking, various sports, and ample free-play time. There are also field trips and special workshops throughout the year such as Tae Kwon Do, gardening, and outdoor adventures.
For all the students, Team Saturday provides a fun, safe, and predictable environment where the students can have a great time together, learn new skills, receive individualized attention, and build meaningful relationships with their classmates and teachers. In our elementary group, they have the added wonderful opportunity to work with Hill School eighth-grade mentors!
Our middle school program offers students opportunities to work on projects together with more autonomy. Tasks to complete projects are laid out with instructions and supplies at each session. The students are given a sense of independence and opportunities to develop their peer-management, leadership, and team-building skills all while creating some pretty fantastic projects for the community.
Team Saturday students who have aged up into High school may continue to participate by applying for a limited number of by-application-only teacher assistant and project leadership positions to earn volunteer hours and gain valuable experience.
Our overarching expectation for everyone at the program –students, volunteers, and staff alike: that we act with kindness and respect with one another all the time.

Mission Statement
Team Saturday offers a psychologically and physically safe environment in which children have opportunities for new experiences, learning new skills, having fun and time for individual attention from dedicated teachers and enthusiastic eighth grade assistants in small group settings.
Goals for children in the program
to provide a safe, predictable and welcoming environment;
to offer, in small-group settings, positive relationships with teachers and Hill School Eighth grade assistants who serve as role models for problem solving and socialization;
to offer opportunities for new experiences and enrichment; and,
to provide ongoing support by serving as a source of referral for the children and their families.
Goals for the eighth grade student assistants
To provide an opportunity for the Eighth Graders at The Hill School to learn the responsibility and ethic of service, to expand their awareness, understanding and appreciation of other’s needs, and to learn the challenge and satisfaction of attending to them.
