Team Saturday at The Hill School is an enrichment program for area students. During the school year the program meets from 10:00 to 2:00 on roughly every other Saturday at The Hill School; in the summer, on five consecutive Saturdays. The program is free of charge to the families and provides lunch and busing.

Job Summary
For each session, plan and lead two 40-minute cooking classes for students grades 2 through 5 (ages 7 to 11). Participants are divided into groups of 7-8 students each by age and accompanied by three Hill School 8th grade mentors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing the lunch menu and planning the cooking lessons to include the preparation of some of the dishes for the program’s midday meal
Integrating leadership opportunities for the Hill School 8th grade mentors
Managing a high-energy, fast paced class and having fun
The ideal Team Saturday cooking instructor has a love for, and experience with, cooking and working with children ages 7-12. They are also good planners, patient, and flexible. Being able to keep calm, kind, and respectful in a high-energy, fast paced setting is critical. Kitchen management and budgeting skills are a plus. Fluency in Spanish is helpful but not required.
This is a contract position and does not imply an employee status with The Hill School.

The ideal candidate possesses a love for, and experience with, working with children; skill with a variety of art techniques; a passion for sharing their knowledge; and, abundant patience. Experience with drama/theater, sewing, ceramics, and/or sculpture a plus. Fluency in Spanish is helpful but not required.
